Programs

As a clock-hour school (not credit hours), AVTEC offers training for up to 8 hours a day, similar to a workday. Students spend the majority of their training hours in the labs in a hands-on learning environment, practicing the technical skills identified by employers as important for the workplace. Students are graded on their ability to demonstrate mastery of the skills outlined in the training summary.

Program durations range from 90 to 180 days. During that time, students with no prior work experience, employability, or technical skills advance to entry-level work and beyond in industries such as:

  • Oil and Gas
  • Business
  • Mining
  • Marine Transportation
  • Tourism and Hospitality
